The Russian Police Choir gettin' down!

I like a little cheesiness in my day to keep a smile on my face.

Let's become forager's!

This sounds like a great idea. I didn't know that most of the natural foods I think are gross, are actually very good for you. It's a long read, but well worth it.

The history behind Boldt Castle is both romantic and heartbreaking. Basically, George C. Boldt, millionaire proprietor of the world famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City*, wanted to display the great love he had for his wife Louise. He decided to build a full size rhineland castle on Heart Island of the Thousand Islands section of the St. Lawrence River in Alexandria Bay, NY.

George C. Boldt*

Beginning in 1900, Boldt and his family spent four summers in the Alster Tower on the island while 300 workers were constructing the 6 story, 120 room castle*. Sadly, the Boldts happiness quickly ended when Louise suddenly passed away during the construction in January of 1904. George was so distraught that he immediately ceased all construction and never set foot on the property again. It has been said the workers dropped their tools where they stood and that's where they remained.

Since then, the Thousand Islands Bridge Authority have spent millions of dollars in rehabilitating the castle* and it's other structures to there luster after sitting unkempt for 73 years in the elements of the Northern New York winters, rain, wind, and vandals. The Thousand Islands Bridge Authority acquired the property in 1977 including the castles Yacht House that sits off of Wellesley Island.

Grand Stairway Before And After*

I like Boldt Castle and the story for so many reason's. Having the opportunity of visiting the castle in 2009 was a dream come true for me. One dream I will never forget for both the memories of seeing it's beauty in person, and the long lasting photos I took while there.

Leopard Geckos

I like them because they're cute, their too slow to run away, and they can't jump out of the tank.

Napster

So Napster has changed a lot since it first hit the internet. It went from being the most used free music source and the most hated to being owned by Best Buy and pretty much like all other paid music services. However, it in my opinion is the best one. People still call them the music stealer's which has got to be hard for Napster, but I love Napster. I love the fact that if I don't want to buy songs I can buy a subscription card for 10 bucks and listen to just about the entire catalog of music Napster has to offer without having to spend anything else. I can stream music to my PC or on my phone. If I'm out and about and hear a song playing somewhere and want to listen to it again. I can access the Napster app for my phone and either start playing right then and there or save the song or artist for future listening. Did I mention it's commercial free and most songs are full length songs, not the 30 seconds you get with iTunes. Did I also mention that if you bought lets say a $15 download card, you actually get to download 15 songs. Unlike a lot of other services like iTunes. With iTunes if you buy a $15 card it goes dollar for dollar and cent for cent so you might only be able to get 12 or 13 songs from them compared to the 15 you would get from Napster.  As well as all the other cards Napster has to offer as well. You certainly get more for you money with Napster, and then some. I actually have started buying Cd's again because of Napster. I have the subscription so I can listen to what ever I want whenever I want. I can listen to artist's I'm new to or artist's I've loved forever and then decide if I want to buy their album. I love that I can choose from over 10 million+ songs and only have to pay 10 bucks a month to listen to them.

Fubar

I like Fubar for a lot of things. The biggest thing being that it's like Facebook but for adults. You can say and do things that would normally get you banned from Facebook. Plus there is a game behind it, not just the social networking side of Fubar. Not to mention it's fun giving people butt hurt when they deserve it. Lol If you don't understand what I'm talking about, click this link to join Fubar and explore.

First like of the day, "Playstation Network Trophies"

I don't like the trophies because I want to show off to my friends. I like the trophies because they get me more involved with the game. I normally just play through the normal missions and that's it. But with the perk of getting trophies, the things you have to do to get those trophies has gotten me to do things in a game I normally wouldn't try. Either because I think it's too hard and can't do it or I just never thought of it. In the end I end up getting much more involved with the game and have much more fun.

First but not last

I thought I would make a blog on all my random likes. I'll have pictures and videos of all my likes and why I like them. I have a lot to share. I'm not sure why exactly I decided to make a blog though. Maybe because I have heaps of time right now while I find a new job or just looking to see what kind of people share the same likes and why.
